Sarah von der Ruhr, lead consultant
Sarah is a senior business administration major. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing board games with friends, and experimenting with a variety of artistic mediums. She also loves learning about history and folklore, and would love to work at a museum in the future.
Brianna Partyka, lead consultant
Brianna is a senior chemistry major with a double minor in biology and mathematics. She specializes in scientific writing and mathematical proofs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and playing video games. She’s also planning to attend medical school after SNC.
Caroline Van Sistine
Caroline is a senior double-majoring in English and Sociology. She specializes in literary analysis essays along with argumentative essays. She plans on going to grad school and enjoys reading and watching movies in her free time!
Lindsay Fortier
Lindsay is a senior Spanish and Secondary Education double major with a minor in Peace and Justice. She is eager to help in any Spanish Compositions or other writing done in Spanish. However, she is happy to help with any paper brought to her. In her free time, she loves to read, go on runs, and hang out with friends.
Jo Mahlum
Jo Mahlum is a senior English major with a peace and justice minor. She serves as President for our chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society. She plays for the Green Knights hockey team.
Ella Vandenberg
Ella is a junior history and political science major with a Spanish minor. She is happy to read any assignment including Spanish papers! In addition to the writing center she works in the SNC archives. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, reading, and spending time outside walking or biking!
Kiley Williams-Chvosta
Kiley is a junior English major with a vocal performance minor. She specializes in creative writing, French, and literary analysis. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, singing, baking, performing, and watching movies with her friends.
Chris Gureski
Chris is a senior majoring in English with a minor in Theatre Studies and a Spanish Certificate. This is his first year working at The Writing Center, specializing in poetry and literary analysis. Outside of The Writing Center, Chris is the co-founder and president of SNC JAMZ. Outside of school, he spends his time writing poetry, playing, recording, and producing music.
Abby Pieper
Abby is a sophomore majoring in Mathematics. This is her first year at the writing center. She specializes in creative writing and personal reflective pieces. Outside of school she is on the hockey team and loves anything to do with the outdoors.
Owen Fagan
Owen is a senior majoring in English with a minor in History. He is looking forward to his first year working in the Writing Center and the opportunity to work with all different levels of writers, and to provide them with guidance and new strategies to enhance their writing skills. Outside of the writing center, he enjoys watching and participating in sports, travelling, creatively writing, spending time with family, friends, and his two dogs.
Shelby Erickson
Shelby is a second-year majoring in English with a minor in Leadership Studies. This is her first year working in the Writing Center and she is experienced with literary analysis and enjoys creative writing. Outside of school and the Writing Center, she spends time reading, drinking coffee, and hanging out with family and friends.
Lily Paskus
Lily is a senior majoring in English with a certificate in French. This is her first year at the Writing Center. At which, she specializes in analytical papers and creative writing. Though, she’s happy to work with any stage in the writing process. In her spare moments, she is Secretary in the Creative Writing Club and French Club. Also, she enjoys reading, knitting, and music.
Natalie Hess
Natalie is a junior majoring in Secondary Education and English. This is her first year working at the writing center, though she has been a frequent client. She is experienced in literary analysis and synthesis papers, and she does creative writing in her own time. Outside of school, she watercolors, drinks too much coffee, and plays mediocre guitar.
